Membership and Promotions Committee

The Membership and Promotion Committee serves a crucial role in the Association, responsible for administering both new and existing memberships, promoting the Association, and coordinating activities with other entities. The committee's charges encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including overseeing membership issues, maintaining accurate records, integrating financial records, developing retention and recruitment programs, establishing reinstatement policies, reviewing and deciding on membership applications, recommending annual dues, and creating budgets for committee activities. Additionally, the committee plays a key role in marketing and publicizing the Association, obtaining sponsorships, and identifying collaborative opportunities with other entities, subject to Board approval.

The Subcommittee Chair and Committee further contribute to the committee's functions by developing initiatives for increased membership and retention, coordinating budgets with the Finance Committee and Administrator, following up with members in arrears or former members to rejoin, conducting welcome calls to new members, ensuring accuracy of the membership list, reviewing publications and the website for member benefits accuracy, adding new members to the website and directory, coordinating new member packets, reviewing and voting on new member applications, presenting recommendations to the Member Services Committee, sending welcome letters to new members, and reporting to the Member Services Committee. The committee actively engages in initiatives to enhance the overall membership experience and involvement in IAIR.
