If you look to your left, you will see the new member Tools menu that gives you the ability to do such things as modify your profile and email other members of the organization.

In addition, by being logged in, you will have access to any member only sites not available to the general public.   Also, as the calendar is populated, you will see other calendar dates that are for member only events such as meetings, conference calls, committee tasks and deadlines.
